Vantage Digital Ltd employed the services of Red Spider hire to undertake a scheduled service on our Stafford LED site. The site is at the junction of a busy link road and access is limited. In order to carry out maintenance we would normally have to apply for a road closure. However, using the Red Spider this limitation was overcome and we were able to access the site without a road closure and with total ease.

The highly-skilled operative Mike arrived on site promptly before the arranged meeting time. The machine was manoeuvred into position and set up ready for our service to be carried out within 40 mins of his arrival. Bearing in mind, usually to get ourselves into a position ready to service the screen would take up to 90 mins after arrival of lifting services. The operative controlled the basket in which we were lifted from a remote control on the ground allowing us to have full lifting capacity and room to move whilst at the elevated position.

The movement was steady and controlled and at all times the basket felt stable and steady. We were operating at a height of approx 12 metres from ground level however we were told the basket could reach much higher. We had to return to ground on a few occasions to take up parts for the service. This was quick and effective as the operative was able to manoeuvre the machine more precisely than the type of lifting service we have previously used.
